"$1 patriotic development covenant"
On November 7, 2025, at the Welcome Home Ceremony in Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré called upon the African Diaspora to return - not only in spirit, but in purpose - to help build the Motherland. The $1 Patriotic Development Covenant is our answer to that call: not charity, not aid, nor investment, but a sacred covenant of unity and shared responsibility for their well-being, and development. Together we stand firm with Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger in their fight for sovereignty, justice, and the soul of Africa. One drop of rain cannot fill the ocean, but together it can make it overflow. Likewise, our collective $1 contributions - multiplied across more than 1.5 billion Africans and people of African descent worldwide - can become a monumental force for the humongous task before them - a start for Africa's renewal that requires our collective forces, spirituality, knowledge, and skills in all fields - a collective act of unity, responsibility, and destiny.

May this prayer guide and comfort us, and may it divinely empowers the leaders of Africa to wake-up, and restore the confidence of our people from decades of persecution. May they listen to the voice of liberty that speaks in their hearts, and throw away what separates us – May this $1 Patriotic Development Covenant be our collective, non-political, universal covenant dedicated to the upliftment, dignity, and overall well-being of our peoples of The Confederation of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) – a sign that we have heard their cries from the four hemisphere.

This covenant stands as a tribute to our ancestors' blueprint for collective support - from some examples of our Yoruba tradition of Esusu (Pardna-Hand, Isusu, Ajo, or Sou-Sou) to Black Wall Street in Tulsa, the Windrush Generation in Great Britain, the Grenadian Revolution, and, more recently, the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD). In numerous ways, across generations, our ancestors demonstrated the power of collective action to overcome monumental challenges to combat oppression, and systemic barriers through unity, resilience, and shared purpose - Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger stands at that monumental moment which requires our collective support.
On November 7, 2025, during the African Diaspora Welcome Home Ceremony in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré officially declared Burkina Faso a homeland for the Global African Diaspora. He invited members of the Diaspora to participate in the nation's development, announced new frameworks to support their engagement, and declared to us:
"We are not fighting for Burkina Faso alone. We are fighting for Africa. We are fighting for Black people. We are fighting for the dignity of Africa. We are fighting for the well-being of our people, and those who fight for the well-being of their people carry something in their hearts. We stand wholeheartedly with all peoples who stand for justice, equality, well-being, and we respect those who respect our dignity and sovereignty."
These words affirm a vision of not only Burkina Faso's development, but that Africa develops, integrates, and advances as one self-reliant and united continent. They call on the Global African Diaspora not merely to participate or provide financial support, but to join in rebuilding Africa together.
This Patriotic Development Covenant affirms Africa and its Diaspora's support, and our unwavering commitment to the protection, and well-being of the Alliance of Sahel States. Every contribution represents a declaration that we stand united with them in the struggle.

Exposition of the Covenant:
This Covenant was deeply influenced by the displaced families of the AES due to terrorism, and is an answer to the invitation from the leaders of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) – Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso – to join their struggle for national sovereignty, complete independence, and the rebirth of Africa. Under the leadership of Burkina Faso’s Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, The People’s Popular Progressive Revolution was established to strengthen the survival, security, sovereignty, and economic development of their nations, while inspiring the unification of Black people throughout the world.
The principles of this Covenant is organized and rooted in the Ancestors’ Blueprints, and guided by vision, prophecy, culture, scholars, testimonies – and the encouragement of all our freedom fighters – in all fields of our struggle for survival and emancipation from the grips of colonization. This covenant is protected, affirmed and sealed by the wisdom, teachings, and prophetic signs of Africa’s revolutionary spiritual ancestor, Simão Gonçalves Toco or Toko (1918-1984), who teachings emphasizes spiritual enlightenment, self-reliance, social justice, and liberation from colonial oppression – he declared that the leaders of Africa must embody these inseparable dimensions to be truly free – for this reason, this covenant is entrusted to the leaders of the AES and stands as a sacred and enduring framework of our collective support for their well-being, and their determination to strengthen African unity for development and freedom.
The songs, vision, and spirit of this Covenant is a collection of the legacy of our ancestors, the movements of our global Black nations, the songs from “The Messenger” – Bob Marley (Robert Nesta Marley), and the worldwide movement of “Gods People”—the fighters, witnesses, researchers, educators, documentarians, builders, protectors, and all who labor for justice. Above all, this Covenant is dedicated under the guidance of the “Supreme God” – let there be no weapons form against this covenant of our love for our people.

Captain Ibrahim Traoré’s planting of this tree is reminiscent of a timeless vision in Isaiah 65:21–22. For many within the Pan-African and Biblical traditions, it symbolically parallels the promise of restoration for Burkina Faso, and our continent, including the African diaspora returning to their ancestral homeland after 400+ years in modern-day Babylon – A poignant reminder that:
